This study analyzed the current state of technical development BF-based process, to determine ways reduce carbon consumption. The features hydrogen reduction ironmaking process were also examined as a decarbonized method, and related issues that should be considered when converting are discussed. coal rate consumed by reaction in coal-based BF less than 50%. heat requirement for indirect is higher CO reduction, since endothermic. integrated steel mill an energy independent used iron ore melting, by-product gases evolved from utilized reheating furnace, power plant, steam production. For only green ore, required melt downstream rolling will have provided external grid. Therefore, convert supplied infrastructure system industry. It necessary discuss optimized pathway step-by-step replacement facilities, reach agreement on socio-economic industrial transition steel.
